  From OK to absolute rubbish, We flew from Madrid to Indianapolis Via Chicago and returned Indianapolis Via JFK New York to Madrid. Outward bound we had an Iberian Plane seating was good and on-board entertainment fantastic with individual seat monitors and a good selection of films and shows to keep you entertained the plane was modern and the flight passed quickly. From Chicago to Indianapolis a smaller plane but not overcrowded and room for luggage. The return was a nightmare, the plane from Indianapolis was chartered by AA to another company, it was crowded and we had to put luggage under our seats which cramped up any leg space. So at JFK I purchased preferred seating to get extra legroom on the next leg of our journey. The AA plane was old and looked tired, they only had wall mounted monitors that looked as if they had been made just after the demise of the cathode-ray tube and the entertainment very poor. To make matters worse our preferred seating was not as advertised they were just normal seats with very little leg room even worse they felt narrower than the Iberian planes. I complained to the flight intendant and she agreed they were not preferred seating so we had forked out an extra $123 for nothing even worse we found out they had deducted this amount out twice from our bank account. I would advise others to look elsewhere for your flights. I have sent emails and phoned AA about the deduction of now $246 but have had no reply.
